Plumbing & Hydronics Code and Technology
Gary Krebs recently retired from the State of Ohio as the Chief Plumbing Administrator for the Ohio Department of Commerce's Division of Industrial Compliance. Mr. Krebs has 32 years experience in the plumbing field and has served as a certified plumbing inspector since 1989. Throughout his career, Gary has been a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union Local 189 in Columbus. In addition, he is a member and a trustee of the Ohio Association of Plumbing Inspectors. As the Chief Plumbing Administrator oversaw the Plumbing Section of the Bureau of Construction Compliance which enforces the Ohio Plumbing Code and certifies plumbing inspectors. The inspectors help maintain a safe water source by enforcing proper design and installation of water waste and vent piping systems. The Plumbing Section also reviews plumbing plans before issuing permits and dispatching inspectors to enforce code compliance. With the implementation of House Bill #402, which created the construction contractor license, Gary’s efforts helped support and define the new licensing program.

C. David Hudson has the following certifications; Plumbing Engineering (CIPE) through American Society of Plumbing Engineering, Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) through American Society of Plumbing Engineering, Certified State (Ohio) Plumbing Inspector (CPI) #740, Certified Plumbing Instructor/Agent Certified by OSHA in Fall Protection and Safety Compliance and Certified Building Inspector through National Association of Building Inspectors (CBI). Mr. Hudson is an established, certified engineer experienced in establishing of design parameters, code and standard compliance, along with contract documents of working drawings; specifications; preparation of proposals; bid estimates, bid evaluation, equipment inquiries and pre-purchases; inspections of project and start-up; construction management; construction scheduling. David currently works with Fosdick & Hilmer as Chief of Plumbing and Fire Suppression.
Electrical Code
Mr. William Shields has been involved in the electrical contracting business for twenty-five years and is currently a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for the University of Cincinnati. He holds an Electrical Contractors License in the State of Ohio, a Class A Contractors Licenses in the State of Kentucky, and is also a certified E.S.I. in the State of Ohio. He has taught in the ABC Electrical Apprentice program and teaches renewal classes for E.S.I.’s through the I.A.E.I.
Heating & Ventilating/Refrigeration Code and Technology
Earl Kripas C.M. is a 20-year member of the Refrigeration Services Engineers Society (RSES). Earl is a refrigeration product specialist for United Refrigeration Inc. In addition to his teaching experience with the Columbus Public Schools and RSES, Earl contributes to the future of the industry through his annual participation in the Buckeye State Skills USA – VICA competition as an HVAC judge. Earl’s 26 years in the refrigeration heating and air conditioning field have given him the experience needed to bring real life industry issues to his classes.

Jack R. Sanford has graduated from
Bliss College, The Ohio State University, The University of the State of New
York, Urbana University and has earned graduate degrees from the University
of Southern California, Central Michigan University and California Western
University. Colonel Sanford,
USAF, Ret., attended the University of Maryland, the Institute for Advanced
Technology, Air War College, Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Air
Command and Staff College, Intelligence Officer School, Hand, Shoulder, and
Base Defense Weapons Course, Data Systems School, Armament Electronics
School and many other resident schools, courses and classes, and teaches in
the Capital University Graduate School.
Electrical Code
Mr.
Richard Harris has instructed
Electrical Code Classes at Columbus State Community College.
Mr. Harris has also held the position as Superintendent for Prime
State Electric, and is a member of Local #683 of the International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
